Currencies and Upgrades

There are several types of currencies and upgrade mechanics in the game:

  1. Money: Used to upgrade download/upload speed, processing speed, and purchase new file value upgrades.
  2. Tokens / Orange Coins: Appear randomly on the screen and must be clicked to collect. They can also be obtained through achievements or by completing specific requests. Used to unlock important features like the Auto Collector and Node Groups.
  3. Science/Research Points: Obtained by scanning files (e.g., in a Data Lab or Research Node) and used to unlock new technologies, nodes, and milestones.
  4. Application Points: Earned through the Coding system and used to unlock program transformation functions (like decompiling programs into text, or compiling text into programs).
